While it may appear that there hasn’t been much occurring at the northwest corner of Nimitz and Rosecrans, a lot has been accomplished, but most work has been underground. Construction crews have been hard at work relocating utilities, relocating street and traffic lights, and installing a new modular wetland to help improve the quality of storm water runoff.
The next step will be to reconstruct the bus pad on Nimitz just west of Rosecrans. Beginning the week of October 29, crews will demo, grade, and pour the new bus pad. To accommodate this work and the concrete cure time, the right lane on westbound Nimitz will be closed for about a week.
Also during the week of October 29, Keats Street on the west side of Rosecrans will be closed to through traffic during working hours to allow crews to pothole for utilities.
Please use caution while traveling in these areas and follow all construction signage. We appreciate your patience during construction!
